So, it's been a while. And that's putting it midly.
I've had another child since my last post. December 23, 2011, a little man named Hudson. 9 pounds 2 ounces and the handsomest thing I've ever seen. He sleeps far better than my little gal did, and I'm not sure honestly, if that's him or me. I'm not as afraid to let him cry a bit, and he takes a soother. He naps well and at about 6 months old I was only getting up once a night. He's almost a year old so now, what I need to worry about is the soother separation experiment.
He's an addict. Addicted to his soother and his elephant stuffy. Yes, he's a baby still and babies often form attachments to security objects but this is all new to me. My daughter still doesn't have any one thing that she holds on to. She took a soother for a month and then was all, I don't need this. My son on the other hand will reach into his crib for his soother and if he can't reach it, he lets us know. I've had discussions with other moms I know, with older children about if this could potentially be an insight into his personality but that's a whole other post. :)
So, he turns 1 in 13 days. After Christmas, we start SSE. Wish me luck....and sleep.
